Psychotherapy for individuals
About Anna
I obtained my master’s degree in counseling psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2015. I hold mental health counselor licenses in the states of Washington and Iowa. I started out in community mental health and eating disorder treatment. In private practice, I work with individual, adult clients and have a passion for depth psychotherapy.
I work well with individuals who are trying to understand themselves deeper and desiring to find an inner sense of ease. These are often individuals who are experiencing worry, internal distress, perfectionistic tendencies, and overall self criticism and uncertainty. In diagnostic terms this may include individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders or addiction, while also including grief, life transitions, and questions of meaning and spirituality.
I have deep faith that all people hold innate inner wisdom that is waiting to be reconnected to. Often pain and trauma create disconnection and distrust of ourselves. Healing through psychotherapy can illuminate and strengthen our resounding inner voice.
When not sharing space with clients, most of my days are shared with my partner and two sweet girls. Additionally, I spend my leisure time reading all genres of books, writing, and grounding myself in everyday life.
