My Approach

Therapeutic Style

In the therapeutic space, I bring a reflective and inquisitive posture to explore what gets in your way in relationships and in your sense of confidence and grounding. My goal is to help you understand your varied and nuanced experience with grace, kindness, and deep trust. I work to help people slow down to listen to what isn’t being heard, what needs validation that’s being dismissed, and what needs language that feels scattered or disillusioning.

I practice from a relationally psychodynamic lens as well as drawing from developmental approaches, using both attachment theory and object relations. Overall, this means I pay attention to what happens in our relationship, between client and therapist, while also observing and reflecting on the stories and experiences people have gathered in their lives, to guide reframe and healing.

“[W]e all begin the process before we are ready, before we are strong enough, before we know enough; we begin a dialogue with thoughts and feelings that both tickle and thunder within us. We respond before we know how to speak the language, before we know all the answers, and before we know exactly to whom we are speaking.”
